                          I WISH I COULD

There are a lot of things,
I wish I could be.

        Like a diver,
        Down under the sea.

Or an astronaut roving,
Way up high.

       Or a pilot,
       Flying planes in the sky.

Or a cricketer,
Hitting every ball for a six.

       Or an engineer,
       Who everything can fix.

Or a doctor,
Taking care of the sick.

        A chef after whose dishes,
        Your fingers you will lick.

But here comes Mum,
With samosas for tea.

       And at times like this,
       I’m glad I’m me.
